Gosh are we excited for today's episode!! Not only do we have a guest, but we are also talking all things Space Invaders!!! No, not the computer game...the new decluttering TV show that everyone is talking about. Our beautiful friend and collegue Sarah Cottman sat down with us to answer all our questions of what goes on behind the scenes and when the cameras aren't rolling. If you are a fan of the show then this episode is a must!! If you haven't seen it yet, we highly recommend checking it out as we feel it is such a great representation of our industry. So sit back and enjoy our chat with wonderful the Sarah.

  • 3. Bedding

    17:25||Season 4, Ep. 3
    When good bedding gets out of control it's easy for wardrobes and cupboards to be taken over - join me today as we wrangle our bedding to better manage our households.Today I am going to tackle our families bedding to declutter items we don't need anymore, have been keeping 'just in case' or that we've stopped using. You're invited to join me as I bring everything out to sort, declutter and then store safely in underbed storage so it's always fresh and easy to access.Join our community Become a Patron – your monthly donation makes a huge difference to me being able to produce this podcast. • 2. Shoes

    13:25||Season 4, Ep. 2
    It's common for most homes to be a bit stuck on where to store shoes - for two reasons...our homes don't generally come with any designated shoe storagewe have WAY too many pairs of shoes!I encourage you today to declutter shoes which are too small, you don't wear anymore, have holes, are uncomfortable etc. And then when you see how many shoes you have left, be really intentional about how you are going to store your shoes. Maybe they belong at the bottom of your wardrobe on a shoe rack or in a catch all tub. Maybe you have storage at your front or back door. The key is to use the system you have, and if it's really not working, design something new. Most important is that you stick with the system once you have it in place. Build those habits of putting your shoes away and you'll never be late again because you can't find your shoes!Join our community Become a Patron – your monthly donation makes a huge difference to me being able to produce this podcast. • 52. Best Of: Consumerism

    18:20||Season 3, Ep. 52
    Ever been struck by the complete opulence of consumerism? Like smacked in the face by it to the point where it makes you feel sick in the stomach?Consumerism is "a social and economic order that encourages the acquisition of goods and services in ever-increasing amounts". Consuming and purchasing things you don't need in compounding quantities... will not make you happy or satisfied or fulfilled. It will cause you stress as you have to earn the money to pay for these things, then store them in your already full home.Today explore the traps of consumerism as well as some alternatives that don't require you to completely give up buying things but allow you to be intentional in how you consume with you being the boss, without consumerism dictating your choices.What else could you do with the time and money you mindlessly spend on the ever-increasing acquisition of goods?You may also like to listen to these episodes:Engaged or EntertainedObject PermanenceValues with Laurie PalauObligationJoin our communityBecome a Patron – your monthly donation makes a huge difference to me being able to produce this podcast.
