Creating Quality Time With Your Children

Season 5, Ep. 7
What Is Quality Time With Your Kids?

Time is precious. We get 18 summers with our kids. 18 Christmases. That’s it.

But as a busy dad, how often do you stop and ask yourself, “Am I actually spending quality time with them?”

In this episode, we’ll explore what quality time really means and why it’s not about big gestures or cramming loads into your schedule. It’s about showing up consistently and making the most of the moments you do have.

From car rides to football practice to laughing over milkshakes, you’ll learn how to turn the small, everyday moments into meaningful ones that create memories and deepen your bond.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

👌 Why consistency—not perfection—is the key to being a High Value Dad.

👌 How to make the most of everyday moments, like a car ride or Saturday breakfast.

👌 The importance of curiosity: What to ask your kids to really connect with them.

🤣 Why laughter and being silly are more powerful than lectures.

❤️ How to prioritise your relationship with your kids over results like homework or exams.

👨‍👧‍👦 Why being present—even for 10 minutes—can transform your relationship.

Final Thought:

Quality time isn’t about doing extravagant things. It’s about being intentional, present, and focused. The moments you invest today will build a lifetime of trust, connection, and love with your kids.

  • 13. The 5 Myths Holding Men Back

    22:14||Season 5, Ep. 13
    In this episode of the Jonnie Jensen Show I’m exposing the Top 5 Myths That Stop Men from stepping up and creating the life they actually want. If you’ve ever told yourself “This won’t work for me”, chances are, you’re stuck in one of these excuses. Most men won’t admit what’s really stopping them from getting what they want. Instead, they hide behind excuses - stories they’ve told themselves so many times that they actually believe them.Today, I’m ripping those excuses apart. Every high performing individual - sports, entertainment, business - has a coach. They work on themselves. So why not you?!❌ "I’m not into that personal development stuff" – But you ARE into winning, right? Elite athletes, top business leaders, and the highest-performing men all have coaches. The ones who resist this work are usually the ones who need it most.⏳ "I don’t have time" – The very thing you “don’t have time for” will likely be the thing that destroys you. No time for your relationship? It dies. No time for your health? It costs you later. If your routine is broken, of course you don’t have time - that’s the whole point.👀 "There’s nothing wrong with me" – Good. But if you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backward. This isn’t about fixing what’s broken - it’s about becoming the best version of yourself.💰 "I can’t afford it" – You find money for what you value. A McDonald’s breakfast delivered? A Netflix subscription you forgot about? Another holiday to escape reality? The problem is most men aren’t clear on their vision, so they waste money on distractions instead of investing in what actually moves them forward.🤷‍♂️ "It won’t make a difference" – This is the one that keeps men trapped. Quite simply when I challenge men on their basic habits and routines they generally fall short. That isn't a criticism . It's just point out the bloody obvious. The secrets of success are not that secret, it's just that most of us won't do what it takes. Review of the Week – Win a POWER CALL (£150 Value)! 35:40||Season 5, Ep. 12
    Your lifestyle choices are either fueling your success or holding you back. There’s no in-between.In this episode of The Jonnie Jensen Show, we break down one of the most overlooked truths in life: Crap in, crap out.You want more energy? More focus? More strength? Then start by taking control of what you put in your body. Most men know what they should do—but then don’t do it.Or worse, they train hard… and then throw it all away with late nights, takeaways, and booze. Now, don’t get me wrong - I’m not the fun police nor telling you to give up everything that makes life enjoyable. In moderation, most things can be used to our advantage. The key? Getting real about who is in control. If your habits are running you, rather than you running them - then it’s time to make a change.🚫 The distractions, bad habits, and low-value choices are keeping you stuck.✅ The way forward is simple: Cut the crap.
